CITYVOX : leisure and entertainment multimedia content production Founded in 1999 by 4 30-year old entrepreneurs, CITYVOX aims at becoming the leading European multimedia leisure and entertainment guide. Multilingual by nature, the guide covers 135 cities in Europe, 115 of which are in France, the others being dispatched in 8 countries. Private shareholders own the company. CITYVOX business model is built on the sale of its content and related IT and marketing services to Web portal (such as AOL, eBay, Crédit Agricole...), tourism professionnals(  Accor Hotels Group, National French Railway SNCF ) and mobile phone operators (Orange France, Bouygues Telecom...)

INYOURPOCKET : paper and multimedia content specialist Founded in Lithuania in 1992, In Your Pocket (www.inyourpocket.com) is the leading network of local city guides in Central and Eastern Europe. The company is currently operational in 15 countries, producing 24 city guides 6 x yearly in 6 different languages, for a total print run of 1.4 million copies; guides are distributed locally as well as internationally through a series of distribution partnerships. An editorially and product-focused company, its content and ‘lively and honest style’ have received consistent praise from Le Monde, Wall Street Journal, New York Times, The Guardian, BBC, Rough Guides, Lonely Planet, etc. Content is focused on up-to-date, locally produced practical, tourism/leisure, entertainment, and hospitality information in a format that is fresh and engaging. Though web operations are still relatively young, Inyourpocket.com, a ‘travel destination site,’ received 70,000 unique users and over 2 million impressions in August 2001.

< SYNTHEMA : a localisation tools expert SYNTHEMA, an Italian Small Enterprise established in 1993 by computer researchers formerly of the IBM Scientific Center at Pisa, operates in the field of information technology, providing software solutions, research and development as well as consulting and localisation services.One of its main areas of activity refers to Human Language Technologies, which includes Localisation Services, Machine Translation, Computer Aided Translation and a variety of Lexical Tools and Assets especially for natural language.

TELEFONICA Investigacion y Desarrollo : an expert in research on multimedia topics Telefónica I+D is a 100% subsidiary of Telefónica S.A. Telefónica I+D was formed in 1988 in order to contribute to the technological innovation of the parent company, by performing research and development activities.Over the last few years, the line of work of Telefónica I+D has evolved to conform to the objective of becoming a services creation lab.. This objective is driven by the emergence of interactive multimedia services which are increasingly becoming a major force in the telecommunications market. Telefónica I+D employs over 1000 persons. More than 85% of them hold a University degree.

VOICE WEB : the Content Vocalisation Software Editor VoiceWeb S.A. is a technology company which has built the first voice portal in Greece and among the first in Europe. VoiceWeb provides content and services already existing on the Internet, thus creating a voice interface in a principled, structured, efficient and transparent way. Moreover, VoiceWeb manages digitized infotainment content (e.g. cinemas, theaters, horoscopes, live sport results, etc.), available in many different formats, categorized appropriately, mainly to be presented in vocal form.
